Nectar Petite began with a simple observation: most "petite" clothing is just regular clothing shortened at the hem. The shoulders are too wide. The armholes gape. The waist sits too low. The proportions are wrong, and every trip to the tailor adds cost to an already expensive wardrobe.
We set out to change that. Every Nectar piece is drafted on a 5'2" form from the very first sketch. Shoulder slope, armhole depth, torso length, and hem placement are built in — not adjusted after the fact.
Our design philosophy is simple: scale everything. Raised waistlines that sit at the natural waist. Narrower shoulders that end where they should. Sleeves that hit at the wrist bone, not the knuckle. Hems designed to land intentionally on petite frames, with exact length notes listed on each product page. Hardware, buttons, and trims scaled to read correctly on a smaller frame.
We choose lighter, fluid fabrics and scaled trims that drape beautifully without overwhelming a petite silhouette. Prints and patterns are scaled so every detail reads in proportion.
